In English, I hope you understand OK. I went on a seven-day off-road trip with Laurent in Laos from Vientiane to Luang Prabang. I had booked my trip through the web site www.ride-lara.com/
I’d done some off-road before and ride a Hyosung 125cc off-roader in S Korea, but don’t get many opportunities to use it off-road there. That meant I was in Lauren’s hands to advise me on technique, route, repairs, places to stay and everything. He looked after me really well.
We did quite varied routes each day, and it was always challenging – but not too difficult for me. In fact, the terrain we covered became steadily more difficult as the week progressed, but that coincided with my ability improving, so worked out well! We even travelled along a road that was in the early stages of construction, so that a JCB had to push earth in front of us so that it was possible to pass!

A trip to remember...I had the lucky opportunity to spend a week off road biking with Laurent. It was one of the best weeks of my life. As a country Laos has the most wonderful people, landscapes and food that I have come across in all the countries I have visited.

As a guide Laurent was superb. He speaks English, French and Lao. The laos people love him, this in turn opened doors to a culture that really created the perfect trip. As a beginner in off road motor biking he patiently waited for me and gave me many tips along the way.

The journey was planned to perfection, the guest houses and hotels well chosen and Laurent went above and beyond by continuing the tour even when we were off the bikes and we spent many pleasant evenings in the different towns and cities we stopped in.

Je suis parti en circuit avec laurent,en janvier 2011,et j'ai passe un sejour de reve car grand motard depuis longtemps,laurent a su me faire decouvrir un pays absolument fabuleux,grace a son savoir faire et a son attention de chaque instant,ainsi qu'a sa grande experience du terrain et la maitrise de la langue laotienne,c'etait un grand moment a travers montagnes,rivieres,forets,et tout cela en off-road!Je reviendrai certainement en 2012 pour un nouveau trip nord!
